How big is the VIVOSUN 4x4 grow tent?

The S448 4x4 Grow Tent is 48 × 48 × 80 in (1219 × 1219 × 2032 mm), about 106 cubic feet inside. VIVOSUN describes it as slightly wider than a standard 36 in (914 mm) refrigerator and suggests marking a 4 × 4 ft square on the floor with painter's tape before you buy. Leave at least 1 ft (305 mm) around the tent for ventilation, and room above it for ducting. How do you set up a VIVOSUN grow tent?

VIVOSUN's setup guide breaks it into ten steps. Build the base frame from the corner pieces and poles, add the upright poles and the top corners, then join the top frame. Lay the bottom of the tent flat, set the frame inside it corners first, and pull the fabric up over the frame. Fit the crossed support bars at the top, which are also where the light and fan hang, then drop in the floor tray and zip the doors. VIVOSUN says most people finish in 10 to 20 minutes, one person can do it alone, and a flat floor makes the frame easier to square up.

Should I buy the tent on its own or the 4x4 kit?

Buy the S448 if you already own a light and fan, or want to choose each part yourself. The 4x4 Grow Tent Kit with 400W LED uses the same size tent and adds the light, ventilation and a controller, so the fan, filter and ducting already share one 6-inch size. What comes in the VIVOSUN 4x4 grow tent kit?

How high should I hang a VIVOSUN grow light?

For its LumaLight panels, VIVOSUN suggests starting about 24–30 in (610–762 mm) above seedlings on a low dimmer setting, about 18–24 in (457–610 mm) during leafy growth, and about 12–18 in (305–457 mm) once plants flower. Hang the light from the tent's top bars with the included rope hangers so you can raise or lower it as plants grow. On the LumaLight 200W, the knob dims output in four steps from 25% to 100%, which helps with young plants.

What size tent does the LumaLight 200W cover?

VIVOSUN sizes the LumaLight 200W for 2x4 and 3x3 tents. It runs 672 LEDs mixing 3000K and 5000K white with 660 nm red and 730 nm far-red, and it's rated IP65 for humid tents. For a 4x4, the matched light is the LumaLight 400 W in the 4x4 kit.

What size fan does a VIVOSUN tent need?

VIVOSUN's chart pairs a 4-inch inline fan with the 2x2, 3x3 and 72 in (1829 mm) tall 2x4, a 6-inch fan with the 4x4, and an 8-inch fan from the 5x5 up. Its growing guide starts from tent volume divided by 3, then adds about 40–60% for each 90° bend in the ducting, about 60% for a carbon filter and about 50% for LED lights. Do I need a clip fan if I have an inline fan?

Yes, in most tents. An inline fan exchanges the air in the tent; a clip fan keeps it moving between the leaves, where warm, damp pockets form. The AeroWave A6 clamps onto round poles, square frames or flat surfaces, runs at 1400 or 2200 RPM, sweeps 90° side to side on its own and tilts 120° by hand. VIVOSUN rates it as quiet as 38 dB.

How do you use the VIVOSUN dehumidifier?

The AeroDrain D12 sets up without tools. Choose one of its two drainage options: let water collect in the tank, where the unit switches off when the tank is full, or run the included hose for continuous drainage. It removes up to 12 liters a day, VIVOSUN recommends it for tents up to 5 × 5 ft, and it restarts on its own after a power cut. A timer is built in, and the VIVOSUN app adds remote monitoring and control.

Which VIVOSUN products work with the app?

The AeroDrain D12 connects to the VIVOSUN app directly. The GrowHub A22 in the 4x4 kit brings the kit's light and fan into VIVOSUN's Smart Grow System for scheduling and temperature-based control. The LumaLight 200W works by its knob and adds app scheduling with a GrowHub sold separately. The AeroWave A6 runs on buttons only.
